Gregory ‘Greg’ Linville

It is with deep sadness that the family of Gregory “Greg” Linville announces his unexpected passing on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the age of 60.

Born in Charleston, West Virginia, Greg is survived by his devoted wife and greatest friend, Kim Linville; his three children, Bryana Linville, Brittany White (Chris), and Tyler Linville (Shelby); and his adored grandchildren, Crosby White, Tessa White, and Benjamin Linville. He is also survived by his father, Jerry Linville, and his wife, Ann Linville; his mother, Sue Stump; his sister, Peggy Walters. Greg was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Odell and Nona Linville and Carl and Reba Ulbrich; his stepfather, Jim Stump; and his brother-in-law, Ty Walters.

Greg was a Christian, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle, and friend. He was a man of strong presence, deeply respected by those who knew him, and his life was marked by unwavering love and devotion to his family. He was the foundation—the steadfast, selfless servant who offered guidance, shared laughter, and created a sense of security and warmth for everyone around him. Greg’s love for his family was endless, and his legacy of devotion will forever be a source of strength and inspiration.

A Funeral Service to honor Greg’s life will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home, 1150 N. Main St., Fountain Inn, SC 29644. Interment will follow in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 p.m.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (KJV):
“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”
