Gloria T. Clarke

Gloria T. Clarke, 90, of Mauldin, widow of George W. Clarke, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 8, 2017.

Born in New York, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Lillian Costello Slavin.

She is survived by daughters, Debbie Welborn and her husband, Joe, of Piedmont, and Cynthia Ann Coker and her husband, Roger, of Waterloo; grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Welborn and her husband, Brian Gillespie, Matthew J. Welborn and his wife, Crystal, Kristin Ann Coker, and Ryan Coker and his wife, Melissa Oliver; great-grandchildren, Grant Welborn, Jackson Welborn, Knox Gillespie, and Matthew Ford Welborn; one brother, Joe (Ronnie) Slavin; and one sister, Joan Schweizer.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Lee Clarke; three brothers, Harold, Edward & Michael Slavin; and two sisters, Lillian Stern and Eileen Ottino.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Cannon Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Cannon Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends starting at 3:00 PM prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Burial will be in Cannon Memorial Park.
