Frances S. Propes

Frances S. Propes, 90, past away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.

She was the daughter of the late Gordon Slatton and Lena Slatton. Gordon was a Church of Christ preacher until his passing. Frances was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and lived in many areas until coming to Greenville.

She is survived by her husband of seventy years, John Norman Propes (91) from Boaz Alabama; daughters Norma Raines (Rick), and Patti Blacknight (Bruce); a son John Richard Propes; three grand children, Mille R. Wooten (Neil), John Daniel Propes (Taylor), and Emily Propes Davey (Adam); great grandchildren, Allison (Allie )Lynn Wooten, Jason Travis (JT) Wooten and little baby Davey due in March.

She was a strong Christian woman who was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for always wearing a color coordinated hat and carrying a fabulous purse.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 6:00 PM at Riverside Church of Christ, Greer, SC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: Riverside Church Of Christ.

The family will be at the home.
