Frances Childers McCracken
Frances Elizabeth Childers McCracken, 84, of Greer, widow of Thomas “Tom” Lee McCracken, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her daughters, Saturday, August 28, 2021.
Frances was born December 22, 1936, in York, SC and raised by her parents William Jeff and Emma Quinn Childers. She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church. Frances enjoyed spending time with her family, loved Carolina Football, the lake, the beach, attending church and sitting on her back porch.
Surviving are four daughters, Cindy Harrison (Tony), Teri Hyer, Patricia Abbott (Tommy) and Kaye McCracken (Pal); nine grandchildren, Brian Abbott, Justin Abbott (Melissa), Tristan Abbott, TJ Abbott, Ashley Harton (Jesse), Lee Harrison (Jamie), Taylor Howe (Jamey), Brittany Howe (Anthony) and McKenzie Hyer (Clayton); thirteen great-grandchildren, Braylen, Brianna, Lannie, Nash and Crew Abbott, Aleah, Jordan, Jaxon, Gavin, Garrett, Aubree Harton, Lily Harrison and McKenna Denmark and a sister, Lucille Templeton. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Charles, Jimmy and W. Jay Childers.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, September 2, 2021 in the mausoleum chapel at Graceland East Memorial Park. Inurnment will be private.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of your Mom. Frances was a dear friend with whom I had the privilege of working with for many years at State Farm. She loved her family so much and spoke of them in every conversation. I know she is going to be sorely missed.
