Elton R. “Rusty” Galloway, Jr.
Elton R. “Rusty” Galloway, Jr., 75, husband of Marsha Beaver Galloway, of Simpsonville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Elton Rufus Galloway, Sr. and the late Mary Folsom Wessinger.
In addition to his wife, Rusty is survived by sons Chris Galloway of Columbia, Mark Palmer (Jessica) of Simpsonville, and David Galloway (Nicole) of Greenville; daughters, Michelle Forrester of Fountain Inn, Candi Swihart of Greenville, and Laura Ward (George) of Kingstree; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Kaylen, Finn, Noah, Zoe, Logan, and Kamen; two great grandchildren, Ellie and Gaston; and step-sister, Sheri Richardson of Athens, Alabama. Rusty will be sadly missed by his best friend Maggie, his constant canine companion.
In addition to his parents, Rusty was preceded in death by a son, Shane Galloway.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 12, 2024, at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home, 1150 North Main Street, Fountain Inn beginning at 11:00 am. The family will visit with friends following the service. Interment will be in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Rusty memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 123 West Antrim Drive, Greenville, SC 29607.
Marsha it was so sad to hear that Rusty had passed away. I pray that God will wrap you all in loving arms and provide peace and comfort to get through this very trying time.
