Cruz E. Lopez
Cruz Elvia Lopez, of Simpsonville, widow of Alonso E. Lopez, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 3, 2023 at the age of 88. She was born in Pueblo Rico, Antioquia Colombia in South America.
She was a daughter of the late Marco Antonio Diosa and Ana Joaquina Zuleta
Ms. Lopez was the loving mother of five children, Byron Lopez, Doris Lopez, Fernando Lopez, Carlos Lopez and John Lopez; three daughters in-law Dawn, Liliana and Luz; a beloved son in-law Alejandro; nine grandchildren, Carlos Jr., Andrea, Diego, Lorenzo, Marcelo, Alexander, Alicia, Georgie, and Michelle; and six siblings, Jorge, Cesar, Amparo, Bernardo, Dolores, and Lucina.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Maria Diosa, Ines, and Arabia.
Cruz Elvia or “Elvira “ as she was known since being a child was a kind and gentle soul who always put others before herself. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her family was her everything. She loved spending time with them and cooking for them. She was also loyal friend and sister and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Elvira was a truly special person who touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. May her soul rest in Peace and that the Lord Jesus Christ embraces her for eternity.
A Committal Service will take place on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 2:30 pm at the Mausoleum in Cannon Byrd Memorial Park.
