Carolyn “Betty” Elizabeth Goodnough

Carolyn “Betty” Elizabeth Goodnough, 79, wife of Jack Wayne Freeman, of Simpsonville, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of Charles Alvin and Grace Hutchins Collins.

In addition to her husband, Carolyn is survived by her son, Shane Goodnough (Lisa); her daughter, Natasha Armentrout; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and two sisters Grace Morgan and Susan Jordan.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by a sister, Fran Vasquez.

A visitation will be held at East Georgia Road Baptist Church in Simpsonville on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 1:20 pm. The funeral service will follow the visitation beginning at 1:30 pm. Carolyn will be entombed at Greenville Memorial Garden in Piedmont following the service.
