Carol Edwards Stewart

Carol Edwards Stewart, 72, widow of James Joseph “Jim” Stewart, of Fountain Inn formerly from Mahopac, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Dorothy Pachter Edwards.

Carol was passionate about animals and served as an advocate for their welfare. She enjoyed reading, music, and dancing. Carol will be remembered for her generosity and kindness. Her memory lives on with her beloved family and friends.

Carol is survived by her son, Travis Stewart (Christina) of Fountain Inn; one grandchild, Liam Stewart; and two sisters, Anne O’Flaherty and Margaret Edwards both currently residing in Florida; and many beloved extended family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home, 1150 North Main Street, Fountain Inn on Saturday, June 22, 2024, beginning at 12:00 pm. The family will visit with friends following the service.
