Bonita (Bonnie) Jean Zents

Bonita (Bonnie) Jean Zents, 97, widow of Ronald Lee Zents after 52 years of marriage, of Simpsonville passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024. Born in Youngstown, OH, she was a daughter of the late Henry A. and Lucia C. Brimble Cover.

She was a 1946 graduate of South High School in Youngstown Ohio and graduated in 1949 from the Eastern Bible Institute in GreenLane PA. She went on to attend Riverside City College in Riverside CA.

Bonnie was a longtime member of Highway Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Youngstown Ohio. Since moving to South Carolina in 2011 she regularly attended First Baptist Church of Simpsonville.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Teri Goolsby (Tony) of Gray Court; eight grandchildren, Kayla Philyaw (Josh), Brett Hughes, Heather Goolsby, Brian Hughes (Emily), Jonathan Goolsby, Krista Goolsby (Jake Romano), Nicholas Hughes (LeAndrea), Zack Hughes (Erica); seven great grandchildren, Benjamin, Nolan, Cheyenne, Christian, Olivia, Bryson, and Gavin, with two great granddaughters on the way; and her sister, Arlene Ohde-Cates (Ernie).

In addition to her husband and parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Lynn Cover.
