Billy Ray “Bill” McCoy
Billy Ray “Bill” McCoy, 78, of Simpsonville, passed away January 23, 2021.
Mr. McCoy was born March 25, 1942 in Greenwood, SC. He was the son of the late Willie and Lila McCoy. Mr. McCoy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judith Corbett McCoy. He is also survived by his daughter, Kristin Patrick, son-in-law Jeff Patrick and granddaughter, Leigh Patrick of Daniel Island, SC. He is also survived by his daughter, Merritt McCoy Tolan and granddaughters, Kendall Tolan Graham, Ellison Lynn Tolan, and Claire Ashlyn Tolan of Greenville, SC.
Mr. McCoy was a 1965 graduate of the University of South Carolina. He was Director of Data Processing at Multimedia until his retirement in 1996.
Mr. McCoy is also survived by a brother, Roger McCoy, of Greenwood, and a sister, Diane McCoy Gee, of Athens, GA.

Services and interment will be private for the family.

We are so saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. He worked so hard as President of Cedar Cove for many years and offered so much to our community keeping it beautiful, affordable and safe. He had great stories and was always a pleasure to work with and will be sorely missed.
