Bill Knight

Louis Franklin “Bill” Knight, age 95, widower of the late Mary Elizabeth Knight, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016.

Born in Princeton, he was a son of the late Conway and Ruby Lee Sprouts Knight. Mr. Knight was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran having served in the 35th Division. He was retired from House of Fabric and was a charter member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Knight is survived by two daughters, Dianne Mann and Wanda Knight; a son, David Knight and wife Dottie; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Knight; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; two sisters, Annie Lou Wilson, and Patsy Masters and husband Norman; a brother, Bobby Knight and wife Evelyn; and a sister-in-law, Laura Knight. He was predeceased by a daughter, Frances Knight; a son, John “Buck” Knight; a sister, Joyce Griffin; and a brother, Jack Knight.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Cannon Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Cannon Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM at Cannon Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
