Betty Ann Batson Brown

Betty Ann Batson Brown, 87, of Simpsonville, wife of William Junior Brown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 13, 2019. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Dean Batson and the late Gladys Burns Batson.

In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by a son James Franklin Murray, Jr and his wife, Joyce, of Newberry; two daughters, Betty Louise Hunt and her husband, Ray, of Easley and Gladys Rosalie Allison and her husband, George, of Gray Court; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and a sister Norma Allen of Winder, GA.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Lincoln Murray and Phillip Dean Murray; a daughter, Shirley Darlene Howard; a brother Charles Dean Batson; and a sister, Sara Chitwood.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Cannon Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 pm. The Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at Cannon Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Mrs. Brown will be interred in Greenville Memorial Gardens following the service.
