“Ms BB”, as she was known to most, was a wonderful woman with a servants heart. She was always happy to help us in the ER at Hillcrest. She would always call us her “children” and made sure we always had some of her homemade goodies!! She is now reunited with her beloved “Mr Bill” and her Lord. Hallelujah!!

    • Thank you all for your friendship. Mother loved you and wanted to be sure you were happy at work.

  • So sorry to hear about B B .Her sister lived with me up until last year. Had several times to meet her. Very nice and sweet lady everytime I met her.

  • Sending love to you all from across the miles. Good night and God Bless. In her children Ms BB will live on.

All of us at Hillcrest ER offer our condolences to the family of this precious “Mama B”. We loved her and have missed her smiling face. Rejoicing that she is with her Savior and Mr. B now. Sending our prayers and love

    • Thank you for your kind message. Mother always looked forward to her volunteer time at Hillcrest. She told me of a time the wild turkeys walked up to the automatic door at the ER, afraid they were coming in. Great memories

    Dear Elaine & Gail,
You probably don’t remember us, but when you were very young you were our neighbors in Charleston, SC and we used to babysit you. We are so sorry for the loss of your precious mother. We remember her and your Dad as wonderful, special neighbors. Your mother was such a delightful, vivacious lady! May she Rest In Peace, and may God grant you comfort until you see her and your Dad again.
Annette Brinson Cox & Jeanette Brinson LeCroy.

    • Thank you for your kind message. I do have memories of my mother taking your dad to pick up hunting dogs that had not returned. They would load them in the trunk of the car. Oh the stories!

What a beautiful lady,Mama BB was.She was the brightest star in the ER. She was family. She was so loved!! And she will be so missed. But I rejoice and Praise God she is in the arms of her beloved Mr.Bill again. They are back together for eternity! And oh how she loved Jesus. I know he said to her, ” Well done my good and faithful servant ” as she entered the gates of Heaven into His arms. Love you Mama BB. Until we see you again!!

Elaine and Gail, you know Barbara was not only my aunt, but also one of my best friends. We had a lot of fun visits together sharing gossip, comparing cat antics and secrets. I will always remember the many ways she helped my Mom while Joe and I were in Texas. I never did get to properly repay her for that. It is comforting to know that she has a wonderful home, is healthy and strong and is with the man she loved all her life. I love both of you.

Gail and Elaine, Please except my heartfelt sorrow for the passing of one lovely lady. I knew Miss Barbara most of my adult life. Mr. Bill and Miss Barbara were my friends , and when I was police officer, and later as the Fountain In Police Chief, they were one of my best supporters. All my officers, used to go past their home on north main, and wave or blow the car horn at them, sitting on the porch. I was a young kid, and Mr. Bill and my dad went into the Navy about the same time. I have always admired the was they seemed to have loved each other. I along with many others, will miss her. Anchors aweigh, and happy sailing to the next port, where Jesus, and Mr. Bill will welcome you home. Your friend in Christ, RAY

    • Wonderful memories and thank you for your note. She and dad loved their local officers. If I remember correctly the station may have received goodies from time to time as well.
