Arthur Calvin Arledge
Arthur Calvin Arledge, 81, of Spartanburg, widower of Betty Lee Arledge, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018. Born in Greer, he was the son of the late William Dewey Arledge and the late Agnes Hudson Arledge.
Arthur joined the Navy as a teen and completed his education while serving our country. He retired from the Navy after 20 years and began working at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, CA. In 1983, while still working at the shipyard, Arthur became a born again Christian and a minister in the Pentecostal Church of God.
Mr. Arledge is survived by three sons, Roy Leaver of Bethel Island, CA, Richard Leaver and his wife, Laura, of Oakley, CA, and Dale Leaver and his wife, Carmen, of Vallejo, CA; his daughter, Melanie Craig and her husband, Matthew, of Simpsonville; 10 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Arledge was preceded in death by his son, Vincent Leaver, seven brothers, and 1 sister.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm with full military honors at M. J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery located at 140 Inway Drive, Anderson, SC 29621.

Jesus will do more than just feel sorry for you and the family he will bring the so loved one back to life here on earth to live forever by means of the Kingdom in the Lord’s Prayer. Acts 24:15; John 11:43,44; Psalm 37:11,29; Matthew 6:9,10. Jesus as King of God’s Kingdom will get rid wars, fears, sickness, sorrow, death, tears, outcry and pain. Micah 4:3,4; Revelation 21:4,5.
