Anthony “Tony” Frank Grady, Jr
Anthony “Tony” Frank Grady, Jr, 88, husband of Mary “Jeannie” Holcomb Grady, of Mauldin, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Born in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late Anthony F. and Mary Kudrika Grady.
After serving in the Air Force, Tony obtained an associate degree from Grantham College of Engineering and began a long career dedicated to problem solving in aviation, munitions, rubber industry, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and manufacturing processes. Tony was an avid outdoorsman and after retiring, his passion was concrete art and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Tony is survived by two sons, Anthony K. Grady (Lisa) and Kevin S. Grady, both from Texas; two daughters, Kim Hale (Gene) from Arkansas and Patricia Strickland (Ken) of Simpsonville; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
An outdoor Memorial Service will be held at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Simpsonville on Friday, July 19, 2024, beginning at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Cross Episcopal Church, PO Box 187, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
We were saddened to hear of Tony’s passing. May the many happy years you had together give you comfort. We have Tony’s concrete art still on display in our front garden bed.

I knew Tony from when worked together at Sandy Springs , SC ( Anderson -US2)
Tony was a valuable part of my team at US 2 as the Engineering Manager for Service Z .
He went on to become a leading expert in rubber mixing .
He was a great friend . We traveled to France many times on business related to our work.
He was fun to be around . Our French counterparts loved and respected him.
As did those in the US.
Boy did he love good food especially French dishes.
Goodbye my dear friend until we meet again .
