Alfred Thomas Gushue

Alfred T. Gushue, 88, of Simpsonville, wife of Georgia Gushue, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 14, 2020.

Born in Buffalo, NY, he was a son of the late George and Myrtle Gushue. Mr. Gushue was a member of Holly Ridge Baptist Church. He retired from the U.S. Army after 35+ years of service.

In addition to his wife, Georgia, Mr. Gushue is survived by his son Ricardo Gushue and his wife, Ann, of Simpsonville; his grandchildren, Sara and Emily Gushue; two brothers, George Gushue, and Lewis Gushue (Kathy); four sisters, Mary Lawton (Phil), Catherine Haines, Donna Livingston, and Belinda Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Francisca Gushue; and a sister, Irene Bundy.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 1:30 PM at Holly Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Culbertson officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service. Interment will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Holly Ridge Baptist Church, Gideons International, or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
