Alfred E. (Fred) Lamprech
Alfred E. (Fred) Lamprecht, 79, of Simpsonville, SC, passed from this life Thursday, September 17, 2009, at McCall Hospice House, Simpsonville after fighting a courageous battle against cancer. He was born in Chicago, IL a son of the late Karl A. and Louise Wetzel Lamprecht and was the husband of Betty Jean Couch Lamprecht. He was a retired Design Engineer from General Electric, Veteran of the U.S.Army, member of Grace Community Bible Church. Fred loved his church and singing for the Lord as well as playing golf.
Survivors in addition to his wife include 2 daughters and sons-in-law Linda Darlene and Kenneth Smith, Karen Lee and Steve Riddle all of Simpsonville; son and daughter-in-law Carl A. and Grace Lamprecht of Fountain Inn; sister Eleanor E. Lamprecht of Rossville, GA; Grandchildren Lea, Lauren, and Lyndsey Smith, Andrew Riddle, Patrick Smith, Marjorie Duffie, Brittany, Denissa, Elizabeth and Nathanael Lamprecht.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept, 20, 2009, at Cannon-Jones Chapel, Simpsonville, SC, with Rev. Steve Thomas and Bill Fugel officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
