A message from Chris’ family….
When we sat down to write Chris’ memorial, we were at a loss for words. How do you define his life in a few short paragraphs?
But then…one of a kind, supportive, strong, loving, fierce, loyal, protective, warrior, King of the West End, a character, genuine, marched to the beat of his own drum, beat all odds, a practical joker, daredevil, bodyguard, proud dad, brother, son, and friend.
These are words we have been reading in messages and posts from his friends and family. Words from those who knew him the best and loved him the most. He was all these things and more. He will be greatly missed, but he will live on through our thoughts and memories, and, most importantly, through his children.
Chris had a strong admiration for his Dad, who is a West Point graduate and proudly served his country. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Chris, my friend, my brother, I will dearly miss you. I’m thankful for all the memories we made, I’ll hold them near and dear to my heart. Thank you for being such a wonderful person, a kind, supportive friend, and most of all, being there for my son, always. You said Tristan is your guy, and he will always be. I will protect Maeve and be there for her forever, I promise. I will miss you so much my dear friend, until we meet again, I love you 🙏❤️
To a great friend, I will miss you. Chris was always in a good spirit and happy, always cracking jokes, genuinely a great person to be around and have known. Most importantly, Chris is a proud father. He helped me and my family when we needed it most, I will always be grateful for that. Although we’re states apart, he maintained being there for my son. He was such a good friend to my girlfriend, Megan. I am grateful to have known Chris. I will help Megan with Maeve however I can my brother. Love ya man, rest easy.
I met Christopher Walls after he was hired at Planet Payment in May 2019. We all realized he was so passionate about forensics and cyber security. He was hired as a Senior Security Engineer and was very good at his job. He was very outspoken with the vulnerabilities he encountered during our daily tasks. It was a pleasure to work with him so closely. When he first was hired, he came to Delaware for a week or so. And it was a joy introducing him to all our colleagues in the Delaware and New York offices.
After getting to know him closely he begins to share the love he had for his family. His fiancé, his children, his sister Tracey, and his mother Martha.
His love for his family was unparalleled. He had a strong work ethic and it showed through the intensity of his working hours. The passion for his job and collaborating with other colleagues to complete necessary tasks was very high.
Although we were colleagues, we quickly became friends. I considered Chris a friend that I worked with every day. We talked about work assignments, team collaborations, vulnerabilities and most importantly, we spoke about our families.
He will be greatly missed.
