Jimmie Lee Williams, Jr.

Jimmie “Bear” Lee Williams Jr., 57, of Simpsonville, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023.

Born in Mt. Vernon, NY, he was a son of Jimmie Lee Williams Sr. and the late Geneval K. Williams.

Bear worked for several dealerships as a certified mechanic for several years in New York, as well as a sanitation truck driver. His last employment was for Meridian Waste in Spartanburg S.C. as a driver.

Jimmie Williams was a member of The Masonic Lodge in Mount Vernon, New York and dedicated many hours to fellowship and community service with the lodge.

He is survived by his sons Jaquan Williams and Jahleek Williams of New York; brothers, Timmie Williams (Brenda) and Torrose Williams (Tiffany) of Simpsonville; his grandchildren; Malachi, Kahmya, Nova, Ariyah and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Heritage Funeral Home. The time of the Memorial Service will be 2 pm and all are invited to visit with the family thereafter at The Home of Timmie and Brenda Williams in Simpsonville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Cancer Society of Greenville County, 113 Mills Ave. Greenville, SC 29605.
