Willie Mae Berry

Willie Mae Berry, 90, of Simpsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

Born in Simpsonville, she was a daughter of the late Jesse & Estelle Hendrix Berry. Ms. Berry was a life-long member of Temple Baptist Church. She was a registered nurse and served as a missionary for 33 years through the Southern Baptist Mission Board at the Nalarige Baptist Hospital in Ghana West Africa.

She is survived by three nieces, Cindy Cannizzaro, Sherry Mace, and Jane Steele; two great-nieces, three great-nephews, three great-great-nephews, and a dear friend, Pat Hail.

Ms. Berry was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Young and her husband, Wallace, Helen Henderson and her husband, Charles, and Lola Cole and her husband, Bill; and niece, Kay Weathers

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brett Aiken officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Interment will follow in the Simpsonville City Cemetery.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Martha Franks Retirement Community for the years of love and care they provided for Ms. Berry.
