A. Faye Barker
A. Faye Barker, 96, of Mauldin, widow of Roy H. Barker, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 19, 2022.
Born in Hazard, KY, she was a daughter of the late George & Bessie Barnett. Mrs. Barker was a member of Standing Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Bridwell of Mauldin, Larry Barker (Pamela) of KY, Jan Dewar (Philip) of Mauldin, and Donna Clegg (Bruce) of Indiana; grandchildren, Michael Grooms, Kimberly Johns (Kevin), Brian Barker (Kim), Holly Brotzman (Shawn), Darren Ison (Jaime), and George Clegg; and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Barker was preceded in death by six brothers.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Jordan Cobb.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home starting at 10:00 am.
Burial will be in Seymour, IN.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Standing Springs Baptist Church, 1111 W. Georgia Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29680, or Riverside Christian School, 114 Riverside Rd, Lost Creek, KY 41348.
My prayers are with you all as you go through losing such a sweet, wonderful Mom and Grandmother. I always enjoyed seeing the many beautiful puzzles she put together. I know she will be greatly missed; but for sure, when she got to Heaven, she saw Gods’ beautiful handiwork that could never compare to anything here on this earth. 🙏🙏❤️❤️
