Mary Stanley Carbaugh

Mary Carbaugh, 91, widow of Harry A. Carbaugh, of Simpsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 18, 2022.  Born in Cheraw, SC, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Bertha Coleman Stanley.

Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She joined Messiah Lutheran Church shortly after it was formed where she sang in the church choir and was a member of the Joy Group.  Mary also enjoyed singing with the Sunshine Singers of Simpsonville.

Mary is survived by her children, Barbara (Jimmie) Downs, Larry (Jackie) Carbaugh, Ron (Jeanette) Carbaugh, Gary (Renee’) Carbaugh, David (Kitty) Carbaugh, Terry K. (Laine) Carbaugh, and Cindi Carbaugh; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; and one brother, Hal Stanley.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by sixteen siblings.

A Visitation will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 10:00 am.  The Funeral Service will follow beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Cannon – Byrd Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Messiah Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice of charity.
