Douglas Alvin Beutler

Douglas Alvin Beutler, 78, husband of Sue Huff Beutler for over 59 years, of Simpsonville passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Born in Pontiac, MI, Doug was a son of Melvin Alvin and Evelyn Newman Beutler.

Doug was fond of the outdoors and helping others, even better when you put the two together. Through the years he enjoyed boating, camping, hunting, fishing and volunteering. A hard worker with a never-quit attitude, you could find him using his mechanical skills where he could even as his health declined. Doug had a way with humor…if he joked with you that meant he loved you! He enjoyed laughing with his family and friends and the simple joys of sharing meals together, conversing, being entertained by children in his life, and loving on the pets of family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Doug is survived by a son Keith Beutler and his wife, Beth; a grandson, Douglas Beutler and his wife, Angie; and a great granddaughter, Lily; four siblings, Diana, Robert, Rita, and Jack.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordan and Quincy.

A Memorial Service will be held at a future date. Details will be posted when finalized.
