James William McClain

James William McClain, 75, of Fountain Inn, husband of Joyce Ivester Moser, died on Friday, February 4, 2022.

Born in Due West, SC, he was a son of the late James Vester & Elizabeth Carrie Shirley McClain.

In addition to his wife, Mr. McClain is survived by his children, Mark McClain (Lisa Cooper) of Fountain Inn, Tabitha McClain (Billy Vickery) of Anderson, step-children, Tony Moser (Catherine) of Piedmont, Danny Moser, Robert Moser, and Deborah Sprinkle (Ken) all of Fountain Inn; grandchildren, Andrea Phillips (Tommy), Audrey Kelly (Nathaniel Smith), Devon Vickery, Zack Vickery (Jessica), Melissa McClain, Jessica Steadings (Jason), Melody McClain, Michelle Moser, Michael Moser (Nicole), Kevin Moser (Courtney), Andrew Moser, Anthony Moser, and Jason Moser; and twenty great-grandchildren. In addition, two brothers, Randy, and Ricky Ray McClain; and six sisters, Irene Thompson, Shirley Roberts, Dorothy Windham, Margaret Fields, Barbara Chandler (Tony), and Mary Farmer (Tim).

He was preceded in death by two sons, Troy “Pete” McClain, and David McClain; a step-grandson, Justin Moser; and three brothers, Tommy McClain, Charles McClain, and Larry Gene McClain.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Cannon – Byrd Funeral Home in Fountain Inn.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Cannon – Byrd Memorial Park.
