Ray Edwin Alexander
Ray Edwin Alexander, 77, of Fountain Inn, husband of Ann Jellyman Alexander for 55 years, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. Born in New Brighton, PA, he was a son of the late Herrmann G. and Geraldine Smith Alexander.
After graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his marriage to Ann, Ray served our country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. After his discharge, Ray worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for 35 plus years. Ray and Ann moved to Fountain Inn in 2014 and were members of Victory Baptist Church in Simpsonville where Ray served as a deacon.
In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by his son, Stephen Alexander and his wife, Amy, of Troy, OH; his daughter, Tracy Sumner and her husband, James, of Ellicott City, MD; four grandchildren, Timothy and Amelia Sumner and Megan and Grant Alexander; a brother, Ron Alexander of Erie, PA, and his aunt Alma Jean Scott of New Brighton, PA.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his brother Jim Alexander.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Heritage Funeral Home from 9:00 to 10:00 am. The Funeral Service will follow in the chapel beginning at 10:00 am. Ray will be laid to rest at Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park following the service. Click to view the service.

Ann, so sorry to hear of ray’s passing. A real shock. Marie and I offer our deepest sympathy to you and your family. So many good old memories. You folks were some of our best friends. May God comfort you all in this difficult time.
