Austin Lynn King
Austin Lynn King, 82, of Simpsonville, husband of Elizabeth Todd King, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
Born in Simpsonville, he was a son of the late Austin David & Nell Jones King. Mr. King was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Simpsonville. He served our country in the United States Army.
In addition to his wife, Elizabeth, Mr. King is survived by their daughter, Wynnette Whitehurst and her husband, Scott, of GA, and their children Ellie Whitehurst, and Sam Whitehurst and his wife, Jenna; three sisters, Betty Hughes, Mary Ellen Henley, and Mickey Davis; two special nephews, Roger King and David King; and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one infant son, two infant daughters, and three brothers, Wilton, Bud, and Joyce King.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 10:00 am in the Main Worship Center of First Baptist Church Simpsonville with Pastors Wayne Bray and Randy Harling officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Those in attendance are encouraged to wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Tiny House Mission Project, FBC Simpsonville, 3 Hedge St., Simpsonville, SC 29681.
