Jerry Godfrey

Jerry Godfrey, 82, of Simpsonville, husband of Carol Johnston Godfrey, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

Mr. Godfrey was born in Birmingham, AL to the late Homer Leslie Godfrey and Margaret Williams Godfrey.  He was a graduate from NC State University and a US Army veteran. Jerry was quiet and gentle.

Surviving, in addition to his wife are three sons, Paul Godfrey, Stephen Godfrey and wife Janelle and Adam Godfrey and wife Tricey; eight grandchildren, Beau, Cameron, Madelena Grace, Reis, Ryan, Graham and Zoe Godfrey and Emma Claire Flanagan and husband Brian and a sister, Ann Kennedy and husband David. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Honorable Judge Sara Davis.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 25, 2021 in the Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home Chapel. Mausoleum entombment in the park will follow the service.
