To Ken, Pat, and all of us loving Freida,
God bless you all! Freida was a loving friend, and a beautiful soul. I had intentions of being with her again, but my failing eyesight prevented that. Please know my condolences are with you.
She was such a beautiful, loving, vibrant soul. I am grateful to have known, and been loved by her. She was like an aunt to me. She was always supportive of my “alternative” lifestyle, as hers was not exactly traditional, either. She was so accepting — despite my no longer really being involved with those through whom she met me. I could never thank her enough for that. As I sent to be read to her, she may be gone, but her love & vibrant light lives on in my heart & dreams.
Don and Mary Lou Frederick extend our deepest condolences to Ken and Freida’s family. We lived in Martin’s Grove for 12 years and knew her well. We are so sad to hear about her passing. RIP
Dad, we are all thinking of you. Kenneth, Carolyn, Whitley and Kennedy.
Freida was a dear friend and classmate from the time her parents moved to Sparta, N. C., and opened Sparta Bowling Lanes. What fun we had from that time until we graduated high school. Her laughter and personality was contagious, and everybody that knew her, loved her. “Go rest high on that mountain” my friend, and whenever I see an eagle in flight, I will think of you.
Condolences to Ken and the Whitley Family. R.I.P. FRIEDA WHITLEY 🌷
Freida had been a good friend over the years. We had a lot of fun with the candles. I still have the closet full of candles I purchased at her parties. She was a true friend when i needed to talk. I know she is rejoicing with her Mother and Daddy. Loved her. Ken our prayers are with you.

Ken and family so sorry for your loss. Freida was a good neighbor. Always admired her pretty flowers.
Freida was a special person, our thoughts and prayers will be with you Ken. I have many wonderful memories of spending weekends in Sparta with her. Her dad was my dads brother so we visited them every time we went to Sparta which was almost ever weekend. RIP my friend 😇. Lynette Whitley Goodman

Freida was a wonderful loving kind person inside and out some say this in times like these but she truly was that and a lot more to me. Back in her hometown every who knew her loved her back in the day. Her smile and personality was contagious. She talked of her parents a lot I knew them well also wonderful family. So many beautiful memories of her family and mine. My Mom and Dad loved her so much and she in turn I know loved them. She smiling that beautiful smile when she met her family in a better place, we will meet again some sweet day my friend. My sympathy to Ken and Pat who was always there for her.💔😥
Ken, what I wouldn’t give to be able to make a phone call to heaven. I so miss our daily phone chats. I know she had it on speakerphone most of the time so you could hear and chime in too! I loved making her laugh when she felt so bad. I’m consoled by the fact that she’s happy and laughing now with her family. She was such a trooper through it all, but so were you, Ken. She loved and adored you, and said every day how she was so blessed to have your loving care. Ken, I wish you peace, comfort, and strength for the days ahead. How wonderful to know we shall laugh with her again one day.
Freida was a combination of all things wonderful. She was so thoughtful of me even when she herself was very sick and in great need. Wonderful indeed she was!
