Sara Kaylor McCall

Sara K. McCall, 69, of Pelzer, wife of Harvey W. McCall for 51 years, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family and friends.

Born in Marion, N.C., she was the daughter of the late John and Alice Kaylor. Mrs. McCall was a devoted member of First Baptist Church Conestee where she sang in the choir and was a loyal member of the Ladies Sunday School Class, she was a homemaker, and a graduate of East Henderson High School in North Carolina.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. McCall is survived by her son, Christopher Gene McCall of Greenville; her daughter, Kim Snider and her husband, David, of Powdersville; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Buddy Gene Kaylor, of Hendersonville, N.C.

Mr. McCall and family want to express their deep gratitude for the continuous love and support their Church family, friends and especially Ahava Hospice provided over the course of Sara’s battle with Alzheimer’s.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church Conestee with Pastor Tony Finney officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
