James Lance King
James Lance King, 40, of Simpsonville went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 8, 2013.
Born in Simpsonville, Lance was the son of Edwin David King and Jane Moore King. He was the proud father of one son, Palmer David King.
In addition to his parents and son, Lance is survived by his ex-wife and mother of Palmer, Sally Palmer King; his fiancée, Melinda Sizemore Cutler and her two daughters, Addison and Avery; one sister, Haven Marie King of Asheville, N.C. and fiancé Joshua Watson; and one grandmother, Sylvia Snow King.
Lance is also survived by the following uncles, aunts, and cousins:
Aunt and Uncle Diane and Rodger King and their children, Kevin King and his daughter, Hanna, and Allison King.
Aunt and Uncle Evelyn and Buddy Gault and their children, Nina Gault Hunsinger, Graham and Susie Gault Flynn and their children, Ryan, Eathan and Morgan.
Aunt and Uncle Reba and Roger McFarlin and their children, Tommy and Julie Bagwell and their children Cameron, Rebecca and Corrie; Wendy McFarlin Barbrey and her daughter, Jessy Walls.
Aunt and Uncle Peggy Moore Layton and Lewis Layton.
Lance was a graduate of Hillcrest High School and the University of South Carolina. He started Citizens First Mortgage with long-time business partner, Mark Hawkins. They most recently merged with Prime Lending where Lance continued to work as a Mortgage Broker.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Simpsonville in the main Worship Center with Rev. Randy Harling and Rev. Chuck Ballew officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
