Rinda Sue Kelly

Rinda Sue Kelly, 74, of Greenville, while surrounded by her family, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, November 3, 2013. She was the wife of Carl Hansford Kelly. She was the daughter of the late Bradley Milton Pennington and Bertha Mae Garrison Pennington.

Mrs. Kelly was a graduate of Keokee High School in Keokee, Virginia. She loved her Church, Pelham Road Baptist Church, and was active there until her illness with cancer prevented her from attending. Mrs. Kelly retired from work as a Sales Representative with Nestle Foods.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Brian (April) Kelly of Simpsonville; one grandson Andrew “Drew” Kelly; step-grandchildren, William (Nikki) Burgess of Union, Katie (Eric) Johnson of Union, Sera (fiancé: Chris) Davis of Spartanburg; four step-great-grandchildren, Haleigh Burgess, Morgan Chesnut, Luke & Trace Johnson; three sisters, Zorada Riddle of Va., Guinalda Bates of Ky., and Otella Call of Tn.

Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by 6 brothers, Hubert, Beauford, Fournier, Uhle, Ufa, and Zen Pennington.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, November 7, 2013 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Simpsonville. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Pelham Road Baptist Church in Greenville. Burial will follow at Graceland East Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made in lieu of flowers to Pelham Road Baptist Church, “Building Fund”, 1108 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615.
