Barbara Jean Tyner Coleman
Barbara Coleman, 88, of Simpsonville, widow of Morris Jackson Coleman, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 22, 2018.
Born in Easley, she was a daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Pauline Rouda Tyner. She was a long-time member of Simpsonville United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Coleman is survived by her children, Lynn (Lee) Gunnells of Simpsonville, Jan Coleman of Asheville/Simpsonville, Jackie (Tommy) Gibbs of Florence, and Dale (Nanci) Coleman also of Simpsonville; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jack Tyner, of Spartanburg.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, C.W. Tyner.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Simpsonville United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church starting at 12:00 PM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave., Norwalk, CT 06851.
The Alumnae Sisters of the Sigma Kappa Sorority from Western Carolina University offer their heartfelt sympathy to our sister, Jan Coleman and her family, on the passing or her Mother and best friend, Barbara Jean Coleman. Barbara always made me feel like a member of the family and was the only mother in law I knew. Love to all the family. She will be missed!

Barbra and Jack are in Heaven know traveling the clouds in their RV. I always love both of them and they always made feel so special. I am so sorry for the families loss.
