James N. Stoops, 61, of Fountain Inn, husband of Centhia Stoops, died on Friday, June 29, 2018 with his family by his side.

Born in Chardon, OH, he was a son of the late Kenneth Stoops and Ardean Robinson Stoops.

In addition to his wife, Centhia, he is survived by his mom, Ardean; son, James Stoops Jr (Cassandra) of Greenville; a step-son, Jeffery McCoy (Leslie) of TN; daughters, Shauna Stoops of Simpsonville, and Stephanie Wojtun (Brian) of Woodruff; step-daughters, Jennifer McCoy and Lydia McCoy, both of Fountain Inn; many grandchildren; four brothers, Glenn, Gary, Mike & Rob; and two sisters, Janet and Pam.
James was preceded in death by two brothers, J.R. and an infant brother.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Cannon Funeral Home in Fountain Inn.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
