Loy P. James

Loy Parker James, 82, of Fountain Inn, husband of the late Sara Cooley James, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 while at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Parker James and the late Velma Poole James.

Mr. James is survived by one son, A. Scott James Sr. and his wife, Pam, of Simpsonville; one daughter Nadine J. Thompson and her husband, Tim, of Fountain Inn; grandchildren, T.J. Thompson and his wife, Hannah, of Fountain Inn, Jared Thompson and his wife, Ashlee, of Fountain Inn, Anthony S. James Jr. of Greenville, and Jamie Reep and her husband, Dan, of Mauldin; great-grandchildren, Graham Reep and Emilee Thompson; and one sister, Lucille Kirk.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and William James; and one sister, Anna Simpson.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 2:30 PM in the Cannon Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 PM prior to the service.

Interment will be in Cannon Memorial Park.
