Melanie P. Harris

Melanie Harris, 61, wife of Joe Harris, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 28, 2017.

Born in Fountain Inn, she was a daughter of the late Bill Pryor and Fay Babb Pryor. She was a member of Fountain Inn First Baptist Church. Melanie wanted to help everyone in her family and anyone that she interacted with. Those close to her were continuously blessed by her loving and generous spirit.

In addition to her husband, Joe, she is survived by a son, Joey Harris and his wife, Natasha, of Simpsonville; a daughter, Jennifer McKittrick and her husband, Russell, of Pickens; four grandchildren, Jackson McKittrick, Harrison McKittrick, Cruz Harris and Brixton Harris; and one sister, Billie Woods and her husband, Keith, of Fountain Inn.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Private crypt-side services will be held in the Cannon Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel for the family. Arrangements for a Celebration of Melanie’s Life Service will be announced once finalized.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: McCall Hospice House.
