Stephen Bruce Johns
Stephen Bruce Johns, husband of Lisa Barbrey Johns, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 8, 2017 after a short illness. Bruce was born in Greenville to the late Gary Johns and the late Ann M. Johns and worked for Sealed Air Corporation, Cryovac, for over 23 years.
In addition to his wife, Bruce is survived by his sister, Julie Johns, and his niece, Lillian Johns.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 beginning at 1:00 pm. Due to the convenience of the location, the service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Simpsonville. A visitation will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, Lisa requests that memorials be made in honor of Bruce to the charity of one’s choice.
I just learned of Bruce’s death yesterday, March 25, 2018. I am so sorry to hear this. As young children, Bruce and I were next door neighbors, and inseparable best friends. I will always treasure my memories of us playing “Star Trek” and “Tarzan” together, as well as his Mom taking us to the drive-in movies and us playing on the playground equipment together there before the movie started. Please accept my sincerest condolences.
