Lester Bernard Schulz
Lester B. Schulz, 77, of Simpsonville, husband of Bonita Beyers Schulz, died on Monday, September 4, 2017.
Born in Meriden, CT, he was a son of the late Theodore L. Schulz and the late Malvina Pusch Schulz. He served our country in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his wife, Bonita, Mr. Schulz is survived by five children, Persis (Daniel) Zimmerman, Scott (Rose) Morehouse, Wesley Schulz, Kristine (Scott) Mangan, and Bonita Jean (Richard) Botelho; grandchildren, Leigh & Morgan Harvey, Nicole, Jessica, & Caitlyn Schulz, Aaron, Sarah, & Hannah Mangan, and Anthony & Jason Botelho.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Schulz.
In recently doing some long overdue research on “old” friends, I discovered that two good friends – ‘Bonnie’ and Les – from back in the CB days of the 1970’s are now sadly gone. They always welcomed me, along with Bonnie’s late Uncle Bob, to their home then in Pittsfield, NH.
VERY fond (and sometimes painful) memories of Scott, ‘Weasley”, Pam, Kristine and BJ pouncing on me in the morning and pulling my leg hairs as I tried to sleep on the couch after a long drive the night before. Those are memories that will last with me forever.
Now I can only offer my sincerest and belated condolences to the entire Schulz family. I hope you all will carry your parents’ legacy on to the future.
