Sara C. James

Sara C. James, age 71, wife of Loy P. James, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.

Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Furman and Lizzie Mae Collins Cooley. She was of the Christian faith believing on Jesus Christ.

In addition to her husband of 51 years, Mrs. James is survived by a daughter, Nadine Thompson and husband Tim; a son, Scott James, Sr. and wife Pam; four grandchildren, Jamie Reep, T.J. Thompson, Anthony James, Jr., and Jared Thompson; a great grandson, Graham Reep; three sisters, Pauline Schofield, Martha Martin, and Betty Fullbright; and a brother, Ralph Cooley. She was predeceased by a brother, William Cooley.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Cannon Funeral Home, Fountain Inn with burial to follow in Cannon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM at Cannon Funeral Home prior to the service.
