Hugh McLean

R. Hugh McLean, 59, of 2207 Wade Hampton Blvd., Apt C207, Greenville, SC 29615, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. He is the son of late John Lewis and Kattie Lee McLean formerly of Sanford, North Carolina.

Born and reared in Sanford, NC on May 6, 1954, Hugh was a US Air Force MP Veteran. He graduated Lee Senior High School and Central Carolina Community College and earned his Associate Degree in Communication. He was formerly in the Television and Radio Ministries during his early life and he was currently in Film Production. He was a Facilities Staff Member at First Baptist Greenville, South Carolina and was a member of Greenville Outreach Center. He was a beloved husband and family man who served the Lord in many capacities.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Melissa Thomas McLean; three sons and two daughters; four sisters; three brothers; thirteen grandchildren and a host of extended family. He also leaves to mourn Richard Toomer and Minnie Lee McLean.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2013 at First Baptist Greenville, 847 Cleveland Street, Greenville, SC 29601. An Inurnment will follow in the Remembrance Garden at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Einstein Academy or First Baptist Greenville, both located at 847 Cleveland Street, Greenville, SC 29601.

    We still enjoy watching him in his many roles on 7th Street Theater available on Amazon Prime. We also saw him recently in the Pilgrims Progress movie.
