David Ray Harwood

David Ray Harwood, 67, of Mauldin, formerly of Portsmouth, OH, went to be with his Lord and Savior October 18th at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born July 17, 1946 in Portsmouth, OH. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Tracy Harwood and mother, Lathona Tackett Harwood.

David is survived by his wife, Deborah McGlone Harwood of 41 years; 3 daughters: Jodie Harwood Krick (Curtis), Stacie Harwood DeShazer (Chris), and Carrie Harwood; and 2 grandchildren: Brody and Kurrie Krick. He is also survived by a sister, Barbara Wroten of Fairborn, OH; and a brother, Jim Harwood (Carol) of Pataskala, OH.

Dave was employed by American Electric Power for 33 years. He retired in 2002 and moved to SC to be closer to his daughters. He loved flying model airplanes, NASCAR, road trips with his wife, but most of all loved being with his family.

Visitation will be held from 2-3pm at Cannon Funeral Home, Fountain Inn on Saturday, October 26, 2013. A Memorial Service will follow at the Cannon Memorial Pavilion at 3pm.
