James Harold “Pete” Abercrombie, age 72, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013.
Born in Laurens, he was a son of the late Jonathan Houston and Mary Hughes Abercrombie. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and was retired from Bobby Gibson Tree Service.

Mr. Abercrombie is survived by a son, James H. Abercrombie, Jr.; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Abercrombie Lollis and husband Charlie; and a brother, Jerry Abercrombie and wife Barbara. He was predeceased by a son, Kevin Abercrombie.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Eastside Baptist Church.
