Dean DeFoix Varner, Jr

Dean DeFoix Varner, Jr., 71, beloved husband of Deborah P. Varner, passed from this life into eternal life with God our Father on Saturday, May 18, 2013.

Born December 8, 1941 in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Dean DeFoix Varner, Sr. and Margarette Daniels Varner.

Dean graduated from Clemson University and dearly loved his Tigers. He enjoyed a successful business career, including the founding of Recruiting Solutions. He lived life to its fullest and enjoyed friends, family and the game of golf. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Dean D. Varner, III (Alexandra), Kevin G. Varner (Margaret), James C. Varner; grandchildren Austin, Olivia, Will and Annie; brother Larry C. Varner (Linda).

He was predeceased by a sister Donna V. Taylor.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenville, on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Visitation will be held immediately following the service at the Church. Graveside committal will follow at 4:00 PM at Cannon Memorial Park, Fountain Inn.
