Grady W. Rice

Grady W. Rice 90, of Fountain Inn passed on to Heaven on Monday January 4, 2010 to join his wife of 57 years the late Kathryn C. Rice. He was the son of the late Bennie David Rice and Della Ann Norris Rice.
Born in Pickens Mr. Rice was a retired Machinist with JD Hollingsworth, a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, a member of the VFW, Mason, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and served his country in the United States Army in WWII. He received the WWII Victory Medal, ATO medal, Good conduct medal and Purple Heart. His service to our country took him to Normandy, Rhineland and Central Europe.
He is survived by one daughter: Joyce R. Holland of Fountain Inn, one son: Bennie C. Rice and his wife Jo Ann of Powdersville, one grandson: Jeffrey Lee Holland of Greenville and one sister: Eunice Mercer of FL.

He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday January 7, 2010 from 10:00-11:00 am. at Cannon Funeral Home Fountain Inn, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 am in Cannon Memorial Park
