Steven Robert Downing

Steven Robert Downing, 53, of Simpsonville, SC passed from this life Sunday, October 25, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital, Greenville, SC after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 3, 1956, in Ft. Hood, Texas, a son of Marilyn Downing and the late Robert Downing. Mr. Downing had been employed as a Senior Project Manager for Crowder Construction Company. As a youth he attended New Providence Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was also an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife Connie Thomas Downing; daughters Danielle Downing McCoy and Natalie Downing Cole all of Simpsonville, SC; mother Marilyn Kelsen Downing. Brother John Downing,sister Lynn Barnes all of Clarksville, TN and sister Cindy Wilson of Nashville, TN.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2009 at Cannon Funeral Home, Fountain Inn, SC with Pastor Steven Candel officiating.
