Frances Dudley Wood
Surrounded by her family, Frances Dudley Wood went to be with Jesus in the early morning hours of September 17, 2009. Mrs. Wood was born on April 8, 1921 in Gladys, Virginia to the late Mary Frances Eades and Joseph Alfred Dudley. She was the beloved wife of Alfred E. Wood and loving mother to Wendell and Martie Wood of Battle Creek, MI, Larry and Rebecca Wood of Mauldin, SC, Marilyn and Brewer Leggett of Lexington, SC and Michelle and John Larsen of Summerville, SC. Mrs. Wood was the devoted grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Before moving to Aberdeen Maryland where she resided for 43 years, she lived in Lynchburg, Virginia. Mrs. Wood retired from AT & T after 31 years and moved to Mauldin in 1988. She attended Southside Fellowship. Francis Wood was a Christian woman of strength and character who selflessly cared for her family and friends. Although she will be greatly missed by all who loved her, we look forward to the day when we see her again and, together, worship our Savior.
