Joe Russell Paxton

Joe R. Paxton, 61, of Duncan, died on Saturday, December 10, 2016.

Born in Florida, he was a son of the late Charlie Mack Paxton and the late JoAnn Hudson Paxton.
Mr. Paxton is survived by his daughter, Sunshine (Scott) Usher of Fountain Inn; five grandchildren, Matthew Russell Christian, Taylor Faith Christian, Corey Michael Christian, Andrew Usher and Emily Usher; two great-grandchildren, Leo Lowes and the soon to arrive Athena Grace Valdez. In addition he is survived by brothers Earl Paxton and Danny Paxton; and two sisters, Marie Thompson and LouAnn (Patrick) O’Shields; ten nieces and nephews and four great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, “Little Joe” Russell Paxton, Jr.; and three brothers, William, Leroy, and Billy Paxton.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 14th starting at 5:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home.

A funeral service will follow in the Cannon Chapel at 6:00 pm.
