Robert Fred Hempel, 87, of Simpsonville, SC, husband of Dorothy Joanne Hempel, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026. Born in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Fred and Marie Hempel.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by two children, Christopher Hempel (Kara) and Kimberly Deane (Thomas); four grandchildren, Dathan Deane (Madisyn), Drayden Deane, Daxton Deane, and Dresden Deane; and his grand-dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Lubomski.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 11 a.m. in Cannon Byrd Memorial Park in Fountain Inn, SC with Military Honors.
