Willie Ray Robertson, 86, of Gray Court, SC, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Willie served in the United States Marine Corp, where he retired on April 1, 1980, with 23 years of service. He served two tours in Vietnam, while achieved many accommodations such as the Nation Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Metal, Presidential Unit Citation, Vietnamese Service Metal, Meritorious Mast, Certificate of Appreciation, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Unit Commendation, and the Good Conduct Medal.

Willie is also a retired employee of Cryovac in Simpsonville, SC.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Bonnie Mae Robertson; four children, Sonya New, Rebecca “Becky” Smith (Mike), Michael Robertson (Trina), and Timothy Robertson; seven grandchildren, J.W. Ellison (Jennfier), Jonathan Ellison (Nikki), Chris Robertson (Amy), Bryant Robertson, Nicholas Robertson (Savannah), Elizabeth Robertson (Mohammad), and John Robertson; twelve great grandchildren; and a sister, Bobbie Reid.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Robertson and Willie Mae Crawford; and ten siblings.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor of Willie to the Marines Toys for Tots.
