Michael “Mike” Andrew Domagalski passed away September 1, 2026, from a sudden illness. He was 58 years old.

Born December 17, 1967 to Lawrence and Grace Domagalski, Mike was raised in Los Angeles, CA. He was a beloved son, husband, brother, father, uncle and friend. Known for his quick wit and being a great conversationalist, he was also kind, loving, patient, and thoughtful. He was virtually unbeatable in Trivial Pursuit with his wealth of knowledge – often referred to by his friends and family as ‘the vault’.

Mike graduated college with an Associate Degree and began working in cable with a utility company in LA. Shortly after the 1994 Los Angeles earthquake, he moved to Mesa, Arizona, where he began his career with SRP (Salt River Project), working in digital printing and design for over 25 years. In 2001, Mike married his sweetheart, Sherri, and would’ve celebrated his 25th anniversary in December of this year. In 2022, Mike retired and he and Sherri moved to Greenville, South Carolina, where he continued an 18-year part time real estate career. 

Mike was also steadfastly committed to his family, with whom he loved to spend time listening to music, playing the piano, traveling, being a ‘foodie’, and playing with his beloved pets, Brady and Ricky. He was a life-long Dodgers and Michigan Wolverines fan. As a highly skilled baseball pitcher with a professional arm, he coached his daughter’s softball teams and would play catch with his friends, brothers, and nephews.

Mike brought energy and quality to every interaction with strangers and friends alike; always engaging with people on their level, making them feel ‘heard’, and with an inimitable sense of humor. His loss is more profound than just that of his presence – a shape and weight that few people can fill. Anyone that knew him would often describe him as ‘a great guy!’.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Sherri; his mother, Grace Zukowska; his beloved daughter, Stephenie Demasseo Ellens (Jeremy); his two brothers, David Domagalski (by Grace Zukowska Domagalski) and Joshua Domagalski (Hanae) (by his stepmother, Valerie Domagalski); his nephews and niece, Kawika, Kai, and Rei Domagalski; and his aunt, Jane Gibson Wuebben (Randy). Mike was predeceased by his father, Lawrence Andrew Domagalski and his aunt, Teresa Zimmer.  

He will be sorely missed by a host of friends and relatives, but never forgotten.
