John Ronconi died peacefully on August 23, 2026, at the age of 81, surrounded by his family who adored him tremendously.

He was predeceased by his parents, Josephine and Nicholas Ronconi, and his beloved brother, Manny. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Ronnie Ronconi; daughter, Dana Ronconi (David Nicholson); Nicholas Ronconi (Susan Brzezinski); Dominic Orazi (Kelly); Robin Haines (Matt); Mary Walter (Harold); Christopher Orazi (Kim); Jennifer Eldredge (Adam); 12 loving grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

John was born in Brooklyn, New York, and eventually retired in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Over the years, he also called Upstate New York and Pembroke Pines, Florida home. A trained electrician, John became a supervisor in the cable television industry during its early years, when cable was still in its infancy. His final supervisory role was with TRW Automotive.

More than anything, John embraced his roles as husband, father, and grandfather. He had a strong faith and was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. He was a talented cook who took great pleasure in preparing delicious Italian meals for his family. He was known for his love of animals, roasting his own coffee, and tending to his garden. John had a quick wit, an endless curiosity about the world, and a childlike sense of wonder that remained with him throughout his life.

John was unparalleled in his generosity and always wanted to give to others. He had a heart of gold and was deeply appreciative of every kindness shown to him. Friends, family, and even strangers often remarked on his gentle nature, kind words, and warm heart.

John leaves behind a family who was deeply loved by him and who loved him just as deeply in return. His kindness, humor, generosity, and unmistakable warmth will remain with all who knew him.

He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
